Is it possible to make this Title Screen

  Is it possible to make a title screen like that of The Legend of Zelda Games, where there are only three save files or would that impossible due to save issues. If possible could it get rid of the New Game, Continue, and Quit Options? Those get really old after a while.

I've seen a script for exactly the same system. It forces you to choose a savegame where everything will be saved onto and you have to use copy/erase/etc. Try http://hbgames.org/forums
The only thing that would be left is to kick out the title screen and go into the load screen directly.
