Help, (rm2k)

I want to import my own BGM and images, but if I import Images, It says that the bitmap is illegal and If I import my own music, when I play it on rm2k, no sound comes out.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong  .

I am gussing (I am not a 2k person) the files are in the wrong format, try saving the image in a differnt format and re-placeing it into the correct folder.

Ive changed the music and image format so it is the same as the ones in rm2k. I changed the music to midi and changed the image to bmp.Still no luck.
