How to make world map?

Hey, I'm kinda a noob and I wanted to know, how do u make a World Map?
I would appreciate any help at all.

hey man im not any kind of expert but i wouls say the easiest way to make a world map would be to set the size of a NEW map to ver high 400x400 or something like that get a world map tileset from the internet or merge some of the default ones ont PAINT or photo shop when you have done either of those import them with the resouces manager into tghe tilset folder go into database into TILSETS make a new tilset put the merged or worldmap tilset in the TILSET FOLDER box add auto linking tiles like ocean, sand,snow, forest set the passability by clicking on the circles that you can't walk on so the change to an X than on your NEW properties put your new tilset as the tilset sat up your music and build it I WOULD RECCOMEND USONG THE MODE 07 SCRIPT on this map
I thought i was being attacked by ninjas yesterday but then i realised it was angry muslim protestors so i stole there veils and strapped myself to a C4 and gave them a taste of there own curry flavoured medicine

I suggest a world map of 240x180 or 320x240 tiles. They are already huge at this size, believe me, I speak out of experience. Also, you may have noticed that the proportions are 4:3 what will make it easier if you plan on making later a picture as a world map, so you can show it on the screen.

Do you mean a world map as in the world itself in the game (The one you travel on), or as in the one you view to note your location?

I mean the second thing. Let's say, you make an overworld map and screenshot it. Later you put it together and make an item, call it "World Map" that shows this picture (and maybe even the position if you're good with eventing like it does in my game). That's what I meant. So I recommend a map with the proportions of 4:3, although you don't have to listen to me, it's your game after all. ::)

i think he means a map as if you were looking at a spyro atlis



just make a small landscape with those many houses and figures on the map along with some mini caslte and set events that tells the info and tele to the map


my games have those to make it seem beter
