Title Screen help (R2K3)

I use RPGmaker 2003 and I'[m trying to get a title screen. I tried several times using PNG files, but it either said that the color was irregular or that the png file was not correct. Can someone help me lplease

make sure that the file is the right size.  rpg maker is picky that way.

for 2003, I believe it was 320 x 240
