Mickey -  I have learnt when the Irish came over to work in England, mainly in London, Shops and factories used to place signs out the front "Staff wanted, Mickey's need not apply" - meaning the Irish... It's a new one to me... I always thought Paddy was the most offencive and I live in England.

Well I have two...no, three Irish friends, and the way they act they may as well be drunk.  It's a frickin' comedy when they're together, and a good laugh when they're alone.  Like my friend says, "Being Irish is awesome; you're perpetually drunk!"  I'm a small bit Irish but not enough for the supposed "drunkardness gene" (another thing my friends came up with) to come out...so sad...

Irish are awesome, though.  Case in point: the crazy guy in Mel Gibson's Braveheart movie.
