I KNOW A GUY AND AT COLLEGE HE PLUGGED HIS IPOD INTO ONE OF THE COMPUTERS AND BOTH THE COMPUTER AND HIS IPOD CRASHED, I'LL NEVER EVER GET ONE.
Lol, I know somebody who wouldn't even consider getting a similar phone to mine when he asked me for suggestions, because his mum's sister or something had a motorola phone once and the battery went funny.
Unless it's a proven ipod-wide problem (like the nano's scratchability) I'd pretty much ignore it.
Generally, you can find an alternative player of comparable or larger size for less. I'm sure you could find a 60GB ipod cheaper than a 80GB toshibawhatever if you look at a cheap store for the ipod and an expensive store (lol, shopping.com) for the toshiba.
The main reason I dislike ipods is I can't just plug it in and drag files across like a mass storage device like I can with my current phone or mp3 player. Also it sorts everything by ID3 tags, not folders / filenames. (maybe they changed it, idk)
But if you flash your ipod with a different 3rd party firmware (say, Rockbox) then it's alot better, and you can play vorbis / flac etc. But doing that kinda defeats the point of buying an ipod in the first place.
