School Problems

Im young , but u ppl are in like college etc, so have u experienced shcool probs, not by teacher by partners and all.
Like we had to sit roll no. form, and some seats got changed but mine didnt, my partner  is soo bossy (AND SHES A GIRL) i hate her soo much, on that im a patient guy so ppl dont usually think id hit anyone so she keeps hitting and she wrote 420 on my shirt -.-
Then theres this girl who is a krybaby, if she gets 12/17 she cries! i mean its bad but wats there to cry.
On small teases and all
we keep away or she'd floodshed as we call it.
Then therse our class monitor (girl) who when whispers they guy in the last row heres it.
She shout soo loudly our ears get blasted! oh the pain.
Then there's this boy, finally boy, who is a SHOWOFF 100 %, he takes name of great stars and tells his relation.
One day he told of an american movie( hollywood) star, like Arnold Schwazenager (or wateva spelling is) IS MY UNCLE! that idiot, and i just say hmm hmm..cuz im not really paying attention. Then he says when we talk "Im gonan blow" u and stuff like that so one day i got angry he was XXshowoffingtoomuchXX so i jsut said, "CMON BLOW ME IF U HAVE THE GUTS" then he said id fly to australlia , i said MY uncles in australlia (he is) i want to meet him anyways/
He didnt reply and i said "scared?" but he couldnt reply cuz he was defeated
And thers this boy, he without asking took books from my bag for copying, next day he said " I TOOK EM" and just...and today he came to my bag, and took out my computer book and said this is mine and ran away, its exam time i delt it off.
Big huh? anyways, give comments on your school life

People who fail the tests are usually the people that didn't do the homework, because what's on the homework is on the tests, and that's why you go OVER your homework.

I am studying to become a teacher. I think that homework is important, but there must NOT be too much of it. The great majority of work and learning must be done in school where kids can get a proper and professional follow-up on their work. An important aspect of the discussion of homework is that kids come from very different families with very different backgrounds and social status. Some parents may have the competence tp give their kids the help they need, but some do not. Some are not able to help their kids. That is often why kids from rich families score better than kids from poor families (in fact making this also an argument against liberalism and capitalism in general, but that is a different discussion).

The way tests often are performed in for instance the USA has also something to do with this. A lot of tests are based on the "multiple choise"-procedure. That means that the kids sit at home and read alot again and again and again and then come to the test where they just put down a checkmark on some questions with a few options. What does this mean? The kids do not really have to understand and analyze what they read, they just have to remember it for this test. The fact that the tests have options for answers makes them very leading.

The exam is also a very old-fashioned and bad form of evaluation. The fact that what you are able to put down on that paper within six or seven hours will determin your entire, or at leas a very big part, of your final grade is repulsive! And you still don't have to either understand or analyze your syllabus, it's enough to remember it long enough to belch it up on a written or oral exam.

How immature of you people to complain about those things. Life isn't fair, deal with it and respect the people that give you free education and free stuff in general . Don't go "They get it from my parent's taxes" Thats better then paying taxes and school money on top of that

One should indeed criticise a system that one think is not good enough. If everyone just shut up and accepted everything nothing would ever get better. As for my part I pay taxes to fund the schools and healthcare and everything else. A good school is not cheap, but quality definitly comes before quantity in my eyes.

I have to balence a job and school and ACDEC. I have a job so I can pay for my lunch and for my phone because my parents wont pay for either. I can't cancel my phone service because it will cost like 250USD to cancel.
I have seven classes this year, so basicly no time for computers <= life blows

My school once taught four years of C++ and two of java... now we'll be lucky if they dont cut VBI. I've already taken all 3 classes worth taking and now my senior year is void of computer classes. Its so lame

I agree, but these people are critisiing it the wrong way. They want to make it worse by taking away homework and lessen school time.
I hate school too but you have to learn somewhere. USA is so behind.
