Strange error message (screen resolution)

I receive an error message regarding the irregularity of my "screen resolution DPI" upon trying to start the programme. I have tried using both the regular download from download.com and the Postality Knights version offered on this site, and although the message differs in wording, they both prevent me from actually starting the programme.

Using the normal RPGXP, the error message is "Set screen resolution to standard size".

Using the Postality Knights version, the error message is "The DPI for your screen resolution is irregular".

My screen resolution is set at 1024 x 768, which I believe is the necessary resolution for running RPGXP.

Does anyone know why this problem occurs, and if there are any fixes for it?

Thanks in advance

Try setting your color quality to 32 bit

It's already at 32 bit. Sorry for not including that information.

Open the desktop properties and go to the screen where you change the resolution/bitdepth. Press the "Advanced" button and a window will appear. In the first tab should be the option to change the DPI. Change it to 96, that is default.
