Sprite isn't transparent

I'm sorry if this has already been answered...but...

My custom sprites are showing up in-game, but their backgrounds also show up along with them. How do you define what color is transparent in a sprite?

Use the import resource tool in the menu. There you can select the transparent color for each resource. And this was discussed just today. Next time use the search button, please.
