How do i ake it so monsters only attack you in certain places on XP

im new to rpg maker and i need to know how to make it so that i only get attacked in certain areas of a map and so i can have safe bits also i want to have diferent monster groups in diferent parts of the map.

Sometimes u can use- hero touch event, battle..u know if hero touches it starts battle, its all in a event, i dunno if its done by switches..

There was also a script on rmxp.net, that could change the battle troops, depending on the terrain, you are walking on. But rmxp.net is gone now. :cry: Try www.hbgames.org Maybe they have it, too.
