You may have noticed on other gaming blogs that yesterday (Feb 21st, 2006) was the 20th anniversary of the first release of The Legend of Zelda on the Famicom. I

I'm not a big Zelda fan, but I think the idea has potential. I am sure there are tons of people who would love a game like that. I would probably play it just for action/adventure style gameplay in an MMO (somthing I've been wanting for years).

This would be a great idea, if done correctly. The way I see it, the greatest part of the Zelda games wasn't the hack-n-slash play, it was the great storyline. I wouldn't want to sacrifice that to make the game MMO. However, if they accomplished an online game with a good story intact, copies of it would soar off the shelves.

It think it sounds cool. I would so be a Goron and use my butt to kill players.

Zelda.... has good storylines? Last time I checked Zelda just had a bunch of gimmicks with each new game to keep players coming back. Unless of course you are talking about the early games. Link must save the princess. Now THAT shit is deep.

I think the stories are good in Zelda games. Without the great, action-laced plots, Zelda MMO would be boring and tedious.

monster-doog

That would be cool, but I dont think there's enough characters to be able to do that.

There could possibly be a design-your-own elven hero feature. It'd have to be quite varied, but it could work.

I like the idea of a MMORPG of Zelda :-D
It's hard to look good or/and strong if you have a duck dressed in a sailor suit to back you up.
