Hello i'm maing a game called Children of the Gods and I need a few tip/tuts so that i can finish my beta. okay here goes:

1.Day,Night,Weather tut
2.Good Interior and exterior mapping tut
3.How to make other people move in a event.
4.How to make a school map
5.How to learn skills through a class
6.How to make fighting cutscenes look great
7.How to make a ship look the way it is suppse to instead of crap.
8.How to make strobe lights in the game.
9.How to make a character swim
10.How to make the character move smoothly in a scene.

I can help you with the day/night system (DNS):

1. Either get a DNS script or

2. Make one using events/common events - I developed mine like this, I can send you a demo, so you just have to copy-paste it in your game.

In your event commands box there's something on the second page called Move Event, there you can move events ALREADY created on the map however you please.

lol You'll just have to make them look great.  :shock:  I haven't seen amazing CBS yet you know?

You'll just have to google rmxp ship charsets. There are alot htough.

There's a light script

You'll need a swim engine. Sorry can't help you there. You'll need your own graphics.

10.How to make the character move smoothly in a scene.
You can press F1 and click the 1st checkbox. That makes the system run more smoothly.[/code]

This idea WILL NOT WORK with Catterpillar script.

Create NPC Events and NAME THEM!!!

Be sure where to place the following commands:

Move Event

Click on the Hero bar and select the name of the event you want to move

Click on the movement buttons till the desired effect is made.

Apply.

Test

Redo.

well it does work with catterpillar, but its a pain to constantly remove your own party members
