I never use a firewall or anything. It gets in my way. What you do it dont illegally download anything, and leave the porn alone

a simpet system restor will fix it, just set to to a wekk or so before you got got them

www.downloads.com is not an dodgy place for downloads... all the links are Gave are safe... Firewalls slow down on line gaming... But the one I have given a link to is not rtestricting at all it works almost sighlently... Its the best one I can find thats fgree... I have worked In IT for ages and those links are the life and sole of every sdet up I do... for the simple reason not many people have heard of em... no hackers or Trojan makers expect people to have them... kepp em updated and your machine should be safe... System restore or Repair on XP hardly ever works against trojans... infact it can make your system less stable... I would try and slavage all your fav files... and Reformat (Slow format)... On the rebuild make sure you have Service pack 2 installed for IE... (Unless you use firefox)

Then install the 3 links I gave above... And most of all watch the bottom left of your screen when browsing to see if things are downloading to your PC in the background... Clear out your cookies often... and run SPybot once a week... Update it every two weeks...

Run Defrag and disk clean up every other month... Keep your files backed up on DVD or CD at least once every 6 months...
