If my game is ready, and i wanna show it to someone hwo don't have the RPG makerxp, how can i do it? If i compress game data then can only people with rpg maker xp play it...

if your using the legal version then you can click the button called make a game disk and check wether you want it to inclue the runtime package if you have used anything from it.

then you need to copy a file from your C:\windows\system32 folder called err i forgot someone else can you post the file name

Thats the problem! i compress it, but then can only ppl with rpg maker xp play it.
can i do it somehow like that, that everyone can play it?

Well, I've done this:

I take the RTP setup part of the RPGXP, zip it together with the game, add a readme file to intsall the setup first, play game.

C:\WINDOWS\system32 +copy pasting the dll file from the file into system32 folder= yay!!! it's working!

or you can, like zxm said,install rmxp rtp but that's really just a giant file that gets stuck in your file making it really big Oo

blueXx, i coped the dll file like u can see( the pitcure)

take it from the folder in your screenie and paste it inside

and that's it.

srry for being so dum , but there lots of folers and files, do i need to copy all of them!? or only .dll files. Theres lots of .dll files to.. :cry:

if you'll scroll down in your very own pc to the letter R (the normal files abc starts after the folders so don't worry, you didn't pass it just yet) you will then notice you got it there already and you'll go  :O_o:

anyone who wish to play your game will also need to copy paste it in system32 folder, not inside any of it's folders, but just somewhere in it.

(oh and ps, you only need the rgss file, nothing else at all, it's the same as you already included in your folder, just make sure your friend puts it inside system32)

Step 1-or u could do it without the rtp and anyone can play it without doing anything  installing anything all u do is open up your progect then u should see the tab that syays game click that tab then u should see rtp selection click that then set all of them to none.
step 2 -open my computer up  click the PRESARIO(C:) and then from there open up the games folder then u should see the RPG Maker XP - Postality Knights Edition ENHANCED folder open it then  open up your progect folder were ever u saved it and from the rpgmxp folder copy the graphics folder into your progects folder it will ask u theres one that already exsits do u whant to replace it say yes and do the same to the  audio folder  and just in case copy the system folder to and your done.now anyone can play your game all they have to do is open up your project folder and click the icon that looks like a sun its called game if they click that they can play it .
but if u add more stuff to your game like cahretersets and music u have to put it in your progect folder to .i kniw long thing but it works .u can save your progect folder to a disk and then u can hand it out just tell them how to play it.

thats y u have to copy everything in the rmxp folder into your projest folder just fallow the rest of the instructions trust me.

ty, i get it, but. Theres still a BUT, on every sites everyone tell a bit different  dll files. How do i know witch one is right to copy!?

meh just copy them all, it's a diffrent versions thing, if you have no idea which belong to which, copy all the rgss dlls

i did all what u sayd but my friends PC still says ;

ok the peseniro (c) is the c drive ppls come on its in there dang look around ppl and it works cuse i just tryed it at school today i hade 2 of my friend play it without the rtp ppls god .
