If my game is ready, and i wanna show it to someone hwo don't have the RPG makerxp, how can i do it? If i compress game data then can only people with rpg maker xp play it...

if your using the legal version then you can click the button called make a game disk and check wether you want it to inclue the runtime package if you have used anything from it.

then you need to copy a file from your C:\windows\system32 folder called err i forgot someone else can you post the file name

Thats the problem! i compress it, but then can only ppl with rpg maker xp play it.
can i do it somehow like that, that everyone can play it?

Well, I've done this:

I take the RTP setup part of the RPGXP, zip it together with the game, add a readme file to intsall the setup first, play game.

C:\WINDOWS\system32 +copy pasting the dll file from the file into system32 folder= yay!!! it's working!

or you can, like zxm said,install rmxp rtp but that's really just a giant file that gets stuck in your file making it really big Oo

blueXx, i coped the dll file like u can see( the pitcure)

take it from the folder in your screenie and paste it inside

and that's it.

srry for being so dum , but there lots of folers and files, do i need to copy all of them!? or only .dll files. Theres lots of .dll files to.. :cry:

if you'll scroll down in your very own pc to the letter R (the normal files abc starts after the folders so don't worry, you didn't pass it just yet) you will then notice you got it there already and you'll go  :O_o:

anyone who wish to play your game will also need to copy paste it in system32 folder, not inside any of it's folders, but just somewhere in it.

(oh and ps, you only need the rgss file, nothing else at all, it's the same as you already included in your folder, just make sure your friend puts it inside system32)
