I gave this game an honest shot a while back. It's such a challenge to control that I think they did it on purpose to emulate how difficult it might actually be to slay titans.

The default controls are awful. You really only need one cable to maneuver well. You just have to sorta "spider-man" it.

Suggested controls:

Left mouse: attack
Right mouse: Right cable
middle mouse: can either go with both cables, switch blades or whatever you feel is best
space: Jump/gas

if you use middle click for dual cables, you can map the blade switching to E or R.
(Also P is the default for the options menu)
