RMXP - Found this Name Display Script but Have a Question To See About Modifying

This script I found here on rmrk is just what I need for my game, but I'm wondering if anyone can help me by updating it so you can choose when it displays the name above the character and when it doesn't, by adding some kind of scripting event to it. Here's the link:
