Hello everyone. It's been quite a while since I last touched RPGM. I was pretty enthusiast the first time I found it and thought I'd be able to do everything I always wanted to. Kinda foolish of me. However, I've got some free time on my hands now (for the foreseeable two and a half years' future), so I decided to give this another shot... with a twist. I'm not able to complete a project on my own due to the sheer magnitude of work needed and my dauntingly lacking graphical skills, so I figured I'd ask to join some other project instead.
My skills (AKA why should you hire me):
1) I know how to code stuff. Not awesomely, I'm no modern algebra, but I know how to create snippets and even full blown code if needed. Still rough on the GUI parts of it, but I'm learning.
2) I know how stories work. I've been bred stories since I was a kid and I know what makes a good story and what makes a lacking one.
3) I can write decent-to-good dialogue. I'm not a native english speaker but I can pass for one while writing, and I know how to make dialogues that won't make you rip your heart off of your chest.
4) I'm a math nerd. Still learning, but I know more than most people on earth would even think exists. So I can make calculations, projections, check your formulas as needed.
5) I know how to criticize things. I won't criticize without giving alternatives, I won't mock your project as if I was better, but at the same time I will point out what I think needs improvement without being a **** about it.
6) I work for free, provided I'm not the only one doing the job. If the team / developer I'm working with starts to vanish, I won't put my heart into the project, of course. I will do my best provided the team works along.
What I am not able to do (AKA why you shouldn't hire me):
1) Art. Of any kind. I suck.
2) Maps. God I hate those.
3) Crafting an entirely new battle system from scratch or other similarly complex code. I know 'cause I tried
