"all electric" cars are a parting shot. they're completely useless and will never work with the infrastructure we currently have. not until batteries can be fully recharged in under 15 minutes.

the future of motoring is HYDROGEN FUEL CELLS. that's exactly what the Honda FCX Clarity is an electric motored car with no batteries, the power for the motor comes from a hydrogen power plant.

other than that it's a normal car.

all it needs is infrastructure and a way to stop big oil from holding it under its thumb.

I don't see what's wrong with oil, as long as it's our oil. Natural gas would be a good fuel source too.

If you get in a car accident with a hydrogen car, would it explode? >_>

oil is fininite, that's the entire problem with it. it has nothing to do with foriegn oil and you should be slapped for bringing the term into this conversation. even if we mine more here and become less dependant on foriegn oil it will still be finite.

as for explosions. not unless the fuel air mixture is perfect to the point that it's nearly a non issue. they just decompress on puncture. this isn't the movies. is the puncture nessicarily perfectly safe? nah. is it any less safe than current car gas tanks? no.

I wouldn't go so far as to say you are retarded or a moron, just not informed.

That's because you're not a cool kid. 8)

Also on the note of electric cars, give it another 10 years.  They will all probably become very nice but as for now, it's a new thing and many things are being improved upon as the years progress.

They have plenty of efficient cars. They just don't want to release them until they squeeze every last bit of money out of gasoline powered cars.
Efficient maybe...but probably still nowhere near as good as they should be.  I'm positive that there is a diamond amongst all that coal, though.  The current electric vehicles that are out are mostly crap and when they break down they are very expensive to fix.  When I was towing cars, almost every person that had an electricity powered vehicle that I had to pick up were complaining about the cost of repairs and how easily it broke down.

About 50% of them WERE morons, though.  One person for example didn't realize that they couldn't use the push-button-start shit without having the key in the vehicle to engage the sensor and because they were also a huge douche when I got there, when they walked off I started it up and drove it onto the bed of my truck and took it to the dealership for them without educating them.

Important tip: learn to use your car before you drive it off the lot because there is a big difference between a shitty car and a shitty owner.

I'm going off topic though so I'll just stop right here lol.

Oil is a non-renewable source.  While we may not see the end of the existance of oil in our life-times, it is important to embrace change than to cling to current standards.

And yeah, I hear that hydrogen powered cars would explode in an accident but I don't know that for a fact so I trust the crash-testers to decide that.
I am out of fucks to give.  In fact, I think you owe ME some fucks.  I have insufficient fucks in the fucking account.

It's times like these I'm thankful Roph changed the name of this subforum years ago.

I'm just going to cry for a while.

If someone makes a hydrogen vehicle, they're going to make it CAREFULLY. NOBODY IS GOING TO WILLINGLY RELEASE THE NEXT PINTO.

Dwarra?

I think Strike already mentioned this, but a wonderful Hydrogen powered car already exists.

I didn't mean "if" in that sense. I meant like, "If you go outside, you're likely to wear a coat". Odds are you've been outside several times in a day. I'm not implying you're a hermit.

Dwarra?

Capua Aelita

And you're a dildo, but no one complains about you

Also I want you inside me ;]
