I've decided to post a quick walkthrough on the bosses to help some of you guys play through. The video feed will be up in a bit once I get it set up on youtube.
Boss 1: The captain and his 2 guards.
Ok, for a first boss, I may have made these guys a bit too hard. However, the trick is real simple.
Reccomendations for Anna
When you find the lifeup in the inn, use it immediately, it will help tremendously in this fight. The lifeup will give Anna +50 HP, meaning even if Clara manages to die, Anna will have enough HP to finish off these guys.
You Cannot do much with clara until after the boss fight, so don't even bother.
Tips and tricks:
Captain HP: 218
Guard HP: 78
* Attack the captain first. He has a spell called Raisesen, which will revive and FULLY HEAL any downed ally/enemy on the field.
* Unless you like playing it risky, have Anna heal when someone is low. If she has the +50 hp, you probably won't even have to heal her.
* Keep some stimulants nearby. You may get in a situation where all 3 gangbang a unit, in which if they don't have more than 70 HP, they're screwed.
* And finally, don't be afraid of wasting MP. After the captain is down, Brandish and Fire should make short work of the guards.
That's about it.
Boss 2: The Chaemera
Without a lot of knowledge, the chaemera can be hard. However, if you know his weaknesses, including his status ailment weakness at that, he is a pushover.
Reccomended Setup:
Anna
If you bought either the dagger or the guache at the shop, equip it on her. She needs the most attack power since the Chaemera is resistant to most melee/slashing attacks. If you go Bladedancer, she HAS to learn Venomfang, it is crucial for this boss. If you went Mage, however, she can go with either learning Burn or Frostbite, as both increase damage to fire or ice attacks. If that's the case, then buy the white robe/white masque for as well to increase her INT.
Clara
Clara needs this equipment precisely:
Veiled Rod
White Robe
White Masque
Minuscule Ring of Fire
This gives her the most INT and DEF for the fight, which is crucial because of her piss poor HP. She will be casting either Fire or frost in this fight non-stop, except to heal. Remember ot keep her from dying, as at this point her Cure spell will recover about 80-90 HP a pop, which is good for a only 3 AP.
Zach
If you found the Sighted Bow, equip it, because if you can't get poison to stick, Hotshot is the next best thing. At 5 AP a pop, it takes advantage of two weaknesses the Chaemera has: Fire and Piercing. If he uses Heat Shell, however, have him regularly attack. Use a speedup on him. If you do, he will easily be the fastest in the party, and he needs to be. If he has 30 SPD, he automatically becomes faster than just about everything at this point, so if someone runs out of AP, he can pop a water to pep em up as well.
If you've payed attention, read this bit as well.
tips and Tricks:
* The Chaemera has 1436 HP. Now that sounds like a lot, but it isn't really.
* What you need to watch out for is his damage output, which is about 30-40 HP per attack.
* He is weak to both Fire and Ice, but will sometimes use a shell of that respective element to absorb the damage.
* He is one of the few bosses in the game that is SUSCEPTIBLE TO POISON. Meaning if you get it to stick, you've just added about 143 HP a turn to your damage output. If that happens, switch to your most damageing attacks pronto.
For Anna, that'll be Double Strike/Fire/Frost.
For Zach, it's Hotshot.
For Clara, it's Fire/Frost.
Easy peasy, but then there's the next one.
Boss 3: The General and the 2 agents.
Wow, these guys need a sleeping pill, the agent's d.o. is a bit obscene even for dialing it down enough to survive. Equip the new Iron-clad Rod to Clara and hope for the best, because you fight them twice. Your setup is the same as the Chaemera boss fight, with the exception of Armistice, and eventually your next glass cannon, Shoto.
Tips and Tricks:
General HP: 519
Agent HP: 378
* Confuse the agents. That will really dial down the healing you have to do and make the fight easier.
* Try either stunning or confusing the General as well, so as to negate his Raisesen.
* Speaking of Raisesen, kill the general first, as a protip.
* Clara will not be fast enough to heal, but have her heal anyway, alongside Zach.
* When the general dies, use Dragonstab and Bladedance. Dragonstab dishes out about 150 points of damage to two random opponents [or 300 damage to an unlucky one]. Bladedance can do 75-100 damage to ALL OPPONENTS.
* If you've learned FireA, use it to soften up the agents. Remember to stop after the fourth one and switch to Fire, though, so as to not kill the agents before the general.
* Part 2 is a bit easier. Have Shoto spam one of her tier 2 spells on the general [Firas/Frostas/Sparkas] alongside the group. She's also just fast enough that if you need AP or HP, she can pop a water or potion.
* Both parts have one issue with melee characters: The general can BLIND you, and you won't have access to anything other than a dispel potion to cure it.
* If you can, try confusing the agents after they use Peerless Blade [the skill that "makes them feel unbeatable"], because that doubles their d.o..
Good luck with these guys.
If you've been having trouble with bosses, I hope this helps.
