Although I'm not officially new here, I feel that I have never properly introduced myself. So I'll do a quick introduction here : My name is Robin, 24 years old, live in the Netherlands, have a background in IT and followed a detailed course on game design. My personal game preference goes out to rpg games with deep story narrative: Mass Effect, FFX, Dragon Age and Chrono Trigger are personal favorites. I am currently co-managing a company (Excalisoft) part-time where I fulfill the role of lead game designer. We're currently creating our own mmorpg game called
Sagramore using our own engine (non-rpgmaker).
I have a soft spot for RPGMaker and its communities as this is part of my personal history that goes back to the early days of RPGMaker 95. RPGMaker sucked away many weekends of toying around with the creation of simple gameplay experiences (and not regretting one bit of it!).
As stated above, we (excalisoft) are currently working on a release of our browser mmorpg Sagramore. Although the game is already playable as an alpha version, the content is still rather limited as of October 2011. We are however looking at a release in the near future and are making frequent content updates in the alpha version. The game runs in your browser (realtime) without the use of any plugins, it is only HTML and Javascript, we also built an extensive set of development tools (you might even say our
mapeditor has something in common with RPGMaker).
As I want to avoid over-advertising our game here, you can check out
