Is there a way to have animated Background images?

I was thinking if I could have an animated background image, or just shift it through different colors through eventing, that would be pretty useful for what I'm doing.

Also, is there a limit to the number of frames an autotile can have? so far I think it's only 4.

change map setting > panoramic graphic

then I can change the hue in some kind of loop...
