[XP] Character STATS and their function. (questions)

What do each stats in rpg maker xp does?
STR(Strength) is for what?
DEX(Dexterity) is for what?
INT(Intelligence) is for what?
AGI(Agility) is for what?

can someone explain each stats and what specifically their function?
like: (based in some other games)
STR adds damage
DEX adds accuracy and critical
AGI adds on attack speed(which is not applicable in rpg maker normal battle scene)
INT adds SP amount and Magic damage


please i need their real function for my game. thanks guys!
