Simple map request vx or xp [closed/resolved]

i need a script that adds a menu button called map, and i need it to show a map of your current location.

not like a mini map, I've already tried that, and every time i add an event the mini map stops working.

i just want it so you can go to the menu and view a visible map of the world and your location on that map.

if possible make it to where i could change the name of the menu button too

Edit: preferably in vx, if i could get it for xp too that'd be great

Are you using a custom menu script? It would be very helpful to know if you were.

no, i'm only using a Caterpillar and a shadow script right now

Ok. I suggest that if you do use a custom menu script, you use one mentioned in this post, because they have features that allow for quick command adding.
Do you want the scene's only function to be displaying the map?

yes but i know how to put scripts into the game, besides i don't think you can make an event for an extra menu button.

i'm beginning to think that i will never get this menu item, but i cant really progress my game without it, so i am begging someone to make this please!

You can. There is a script by Yanfly called "Common Event Menu" which should allow you to achieve this.
