[XP] RPG Maker Activation Problems

Hi, I have just bought RPG maker XP and I am trying to activate it but it keeps taking a long time. I had it "connecting to the activation server" while I went to school for six hours. Also I had used the trial and it worked completely fine.

Why is it taking so long? And what should I do to fix it?

Make sure it isn't being blocked by the firewall or some parental controls program.

Did this as well, and it also didn't work.
