hey people , im new at making rmxp games so dont expect some nice things in it xD



characters :

ive used all characters that are in rmxp (cause i wanted to make it online) if i cant get it online i will edit it so it doesnt have loads of characters to choose


story :

the once so nice world in infinity rpg turned dark , monsters everywhere , its your duty to get rid of their leader , in your battle you get help using your summoning emblems (warrior , archer and later even a dragon)

If it's your first game you probably shouldn't go for online... it'll be more difficult and you'll have to pay more attention to how well you balance things, not to mention hosting a server...

Anyways, this seems pretty poorly thought out. I'm not trying to be rude to you, but when your story consists of "the once so nice world in infinity rpg turned dark , monsters everywhere , its your duty to get rid of their leader , in your battle you get help using your summoning emblems", it's time to step back and rethink things. Just my advice.

On to the maps...

In the forest map, the tree shadows seem out of place (especially the one overlapping the cliff). The dragonlair is okay, the start map is decent, island seems to have too many dead trees (that many dead trees near grass that manages to survive?), in the port the grass cuts off to sea too sharply (no edge tile), and the shop is alright.

Just my two cents.

Here's my two cents, take them for what they're worth.

Story: Kinda Vague and dull. Spice it up, give it a real plot that people are going to enjoy going through.

Characters: Are you seriously going with the default people? I wouldn't do that with a game if someone paid me to...okay, well, maybe if I was paid to....

Start screen shot: It's not bad, a little too boxy, but not bad.

Forest screen shot: Besides the shadows of the trees being all screwy, it's way to empty. Have you ever been in a forest that didn't have branches and things on the ground? Add stuff and make it more random.

Dragon Lair screen shot: A little empty, but that's about it.

Island screen shot: Not much to complain about here. I'm curious what the millions of events will actually look like when they're active or whatever.

Port screen shot: Really my only gripe about it is the transition from grass to water.

Shop screen shot: Just the trees, kinda like the forest shot. Trees just need fixing.

All together I really don't like the red arrows that point to the teleport spots.
I agree with RefresherSpray about the online-ness of it though. Way harder to do that, start with something smaller.

Yeah Ik the story isn't very nice still , i need to also add more events (citizens like that) also you guys are right about the edges from land to water , but I'm using another kind of tile as Grass and doesn't fit with the nice stone edge , Ima go working on that

also : if it would be Online i would do much more before getting it Online , but i cannot see why i cant get Online (think I'm not technical enough since my English isn't that great and making a SQL database is just impossible for me) so i wont make it Online :x

about the characters : i will delete loads and use other characters , i already have a custom char : Naga serpent

the island : it looks death , there are 2 orbs with those u can restore the broke bridge , in the middle is another orb , touch that and trees will look good , enemies turn into animals , ofcourse u will need to fight a boss but i need a nice wall of fire .... but you are kinda right , survived grass .. i need to delete some pieces ...

the start : i will make it better but first i have to delete some characters then

the red arrows : i had a problem (couldn't vind good arrows) i will make it black and then let it turn gray and then black again :P red isn't very nice but it was for now ..

This can be closed , ive seen to many problems in my game , i will restart and use less characters , more texture and a good story i will quit the old infinity rpg and start it over

This is extremely important. No space before comma. This , is wrong. This, is correct.

Out of all the punctuation errors in her posts, you pick that? Half of those commas should be periods.
I'd definitely think about trying to improve your grammar, mirrorangel. It affects how people see your projects. You want to present your project in a professional manner, so people will take it seriously.

Capitalizing the beginning of a sentence and 'I' is also easy to fix. I didn't even notice the whole space before the comma thing. It isn't dominating at all. The fact that those shouldn't even be commas is much more dominating.

Damn people >.< as you can read in my post i´m not good with English, and i will say what i am and what i speak then u guys maybe know why it getting annoying to do capital and ,

I am dutch, i don´t use capital letters cause it doesn't matter in Holland -.-

I speak Dutch, English, Hungary (a bit), Japanese (also a little bit), German and i´m trying Spanish now x,x

In Hungary they use the , at this, and at this , and sometimes even like this ,see ?

I just cant keep it in mind if i use it to much


I will try to do these things in next post like i did now ..

i will scrap the game and make a new version, 1 with a story and main characters not choosable, also will use some maps from my old infinity rpg, i now have a start with flashback the story looks like this now :

Once a nice day... next, a hell.
On a day you are playing inside with some things while you suddenly hear a noise, your mother comes inside and brings u to a hide place under the house, u hear so many noise, suddenly u hear something explode ! something falls on your head and u are unconscious

2-3 Days later u wake up, no more noise ? u think, u go upstairs and find out what happened with the whole village...

everything... ruined... destroyed...

suddenly ! u get a flashback and u see what happened !
Soldiers... a commander... they slaughter your family... your friends (u think)

u want revenge (ofcourse but u wont be alone!) after walking around in your little village u found one of your friends...
he thinks the same as you and also wants revenge, but he has a clue! a name! and a name of a village!

And thats how your adventure starts

It will take awhile to reconstruct everything... but this will be better than my old infinity rpg -.- main player is alexus or how hes called, he doesn't seem very old and looks like an adventurer, perfect for my game

Maybe add that sometimes (or with an item) u can see flashbacks about what was here or what happened

It beats the first story, but I'd recommend making the player's mother either royalty in the world you go to or have her evil. It's more sensible than your mother taking you into your basement for presumably no reason. Maybe she's bringing you there because you're the chosen one? Don't fear cliches if you use them well.

Later in the game u will meet a priest she brings u to a place where u go back in time to know how your mother was like there will be a clue how to find the commander, the story isn't done yet but i´m still busy with everything

I'm confused, if he was playing inside then brought suddenly to the basement, how'd he get a good look at the commander? And if he saw all those soldiers cutting up buildings and what not (based on the demo video) why didn't he think that was strange at all, instead of continuing to play inside the house. You said he had a flashback, if he didn't see what happened, how is he flashing back to anything?

he can see flashbacks of other people (its like a spirit telling the story) in this case the spirit of that old woman that got killed at the end ..

1st i need to complete a bit of my game to get a better story...

I actually like the layout of the island. The dead trees don't make sense(far as we know) and there's a thousand events, but I like it. The other maps I say are great for a first project, but the story as many have said before, seems little more than some generic story you came up with within a minuete. So, I'd say from what I've seen, your doing about the same as many other people do on there very first time, if not a bit better
