Hello, and welcome to my realm of game design. This game I'd like to make is really going to be a project; I have such idealistic ideas. First of all, you must know that this game is to be a satire on video games, while still retaining the fervent free spirit and choice that is always in a good game.

Enter a world of fantasy within BORED while playing the role of a party of young teens enjoying their favorite BORED games. Have them complete puzzles and save damsels as they compete against their friends to see who can achieve the highest score. With the power of the Eight Elements within the BORED, these children will uncover their full potential and will learn how to control their destiny, how to protect those whom they love, and what it really means to be “grown up.”

In this Postmodern world, the Future is here: electronic money, the internet, and all the games we could ever imagine. All of this is now fully centered in the lives of BORED’s inhabitants. But more important than anything else, this world has Reality Enhancing Gaming.

Reality Enhancing Gaming is the newest craze in town. All the kids are playing BORED with reckless abandon, having fun all the while. Even before there is a chance to finish their first game, another game seems to pop up out of nowhere. This Reality Enhancing Gaming is truly a booming industry.

The characters traverse the different worlds within the BORED and advance the plot by learning skills, gaining items, and leveling up; all enabled by jumping between the different games BORED has to offer.

Esper
Element- Soul
Age- 14
Bio- Esper’s not a very strong or very determined 14 year-old, in fact, he’s the kid that most would call “nerd,” after all, only three kids came to his birthday party! He’s unlucky, passive, and just an overall loser.

At first, Esper’s hesitant to play BORED, but sure enough, his friend Rainbow finally gets him to play with her and the rest of his friends. Though he may seem to have the weakest and most boring elemental power, he’s just glad to be spending time with his friends. Little does Esper know that playing BORED will forever decide the fate of him and everyone else.

Levin
Element- Fire
Age- 15
Bio- Being the only 15 year-old in the 8th grade, Levin is the coolest guy on campus; everybody in school looks up to him. He’s athletic, he’s strong, he’s courageous, and, when he puts his mind to it, he can achieve almost anything. What’s not to look up to?

Despite all of his good traits, he’s also got a bundle of bad ones. He’s arrogant, he’s not very smart, and, most of the time, he’s just a flat-out jerk. Maybe he just holds regret for being held back and not being in high school already. Or maybe, deep below his brave heart, is a deeper frightened soul.

Rainbow (Bow for short)
Element- Earth
Age- 14
Bio- Rainbow is a very colorful girl to match her very colorful name. She isn’t scared to have fun with whatever it is that she’s doing. Rainbow just has a very expressive personality. She doesn’t care if people make fun of her (or her name) as long as she gets to laugh along them. This is probably why she’s friends with the resident nerd, Esper.

Rainbow’s natural bubbliness attracts all kinds of guys, even the coolest guy in school, Levin. But Rainbow doesn’t look at everyone the same way everyone looks at her: she peers beyond the base exterior into the soul.

Walwyn
Element- Metal
Age- 11
Bio- Being a very young and very brilliant computer programmer, Walwyn is what most would call a prodigy. He’s more likely to be found building programs for his BORED rather than play with other kids his age. Although, Walwyn still socializes with others, they’re just several years older than him. He’s only really interested in video games and computers.

Since his parents aren’t really very involved in his life, his only real parent figure is his older sister Rainbow. With a general lack of children his age who can understand him, Walwyn’s best friend ends up being Ted, the stuffed bear he is always seen dragging around. His sister thinks he’s a little bit of a weirdo, but she still has to take care of the little fellow. After all, who else will take care of him?

TED (Tactically Enhanced Defender unit)
Element- None
Age- N/A
Bio- There may seem to be something strange with a teddy bear being the best friend of a little kid, but what is even stranger is if the bear were to get up and walk and talk. Even stranger than that is if that same bear was an extremely violent, chain-smoking psychopath. TED is a BORED modification, designed by Walwyn, which animates his beary-best friend and allows him to interact directly with the game and its players. He may not seem to be “Tactically Enhanced” since he is always seen taking a smoke break or flat-out going berserk, but TED is always there to save the day when the rest of the party is in trouble.

Needed:

If you're still interested even after that large wall of text, that means you might just be enthusiastic enough to actually help with this project. Game Design is a Team Production, so elp would be greatly appreciated and will net you full credit.

Scripter-
As of now, all I need is a scripter. I need someone who can at least make scripts to make new stats and other such combat-enhancing scripts (PM me for specifics). I need someone who is committed to this project. It would be nice, but not required, if he/she can provide input on the game itself, not just the scripts.
