Thomas Edison VX with Jet's Time System

I'm having a hard time getting the two to work together. I simply can't get the lights to turn on once it's dark. Can anyone walk me through it with a more detailed instruction? Or even better, if you could create a short demo of how to make the events work together, that would be great.
