Hey everyone, I am making a game, but I have one problem: I can't script for shit!

I'm just wondering if anyone would be kind enough to either teach me to script, or Help make the scripts I need for the game!
Who ever helps me I will put your name in the credits and i will put you in the game at some point (If you don't want "you" in the game I can put in an OC or something that you want)

Thanks

Well, there are tons of scripts released publically for both RMXP and RMVX. I doubt you would need a personal scripter. If you have any specific requests that you can't find scripts for, just post a topic in one of the Request boards.

Asking for a teacher is kind of a lot to ask for - scripting takes a long time to learn. I'm not saying it's impossible to find a teacher (I did) but it's not something you can rely on. By far your best bet is to simply ask for the scripts you need.

And finally, scripting is a very non-crucial part of making a good game. All it takes to prove that is to play some of the great RM2k3 games. Not knowing how to script is not a "problem" when it comes to making a game.

Okay thanks for the help, I did not know if i should look for a teacher or take the time to scout out the scripts i need. Again thanks for the help and i will try to post my game up once it is finished

Another hint, Thatonegame. Lots of things that scripts do can be done with events, so you don't need an army of scripts, though a blend of scripts and events normally produce the best game.

I made a shooter game entirely with events in RPG Maker 2003.  This is a good example of the things you can do purely with events.

@Milespleasant - Okay that is good to keep in mind. I was planning on using a combination of both so i wont have to go through the trouble of fixing alot of bugs. But thanks for the tip. :)
