Its weird, I have events in my game set to autorun and when i enter the game, the events arent there at all, all i have is the yanfly scripts, and a few KGC and i have had no problem before... but why now?

There is a file included with all my scripts, a photo, and a link to a video of whats going on. I don't know any other way to explain it.

That is most strange. I've never heard of that happening before.

What I'd like you to do is to open a new project really quickly and copy over the map you have there to the new project. Throw in as much as you want EXCEPT for the scripts. If it works, then you know the problem rests there. If it doesn't, we'll have to take a look at your events.

It works fine in the new game, so it must be one of the scripts then. I don't understand why I have this issue suddenly. if it helps I recently copied all my stuff from an old game to a new game with the yanfly already in it, to save me from realigning animations and switches and such, of course i had to realign all the switches i used for my opening sequence, however that was a lot easier and gave me an opportunity to clean up a lot of extra switches i wasn't using

Here is the attachment with all my scripts in it.
I havent edited anything except some icon calls in the script, but i believe that is the raw script without any editing. if any of them might be the culprit you can tell me and i will post the version of it i had edited.

Remove your scripts one by one to see who's the culprit.
We can't tell which one is interfering with your event by just looking at them.

You could have just copied your old project too. ^^;

I just wanted a quick map copy without the scripts to make sure it was in fact a script that was causing the problem. Usually people don't have more than one auto-event running at once to my knowledge, so I thought it might be some incompatibility somewhere.

Now then, as heisenman offered, I'd suggest temporarily removing scripts that have to do with your mapping. My best guess would be the KGC_MapLightening. Try cutting it out (make sure you have a copy of it so that you don't accidentally lose it) and giving a test run. If it's still a problem, put the script back and try the same thing with your extended movement script.

Considering that all of the sprite characters are missing, are you sure that the tile for the ground there is not set as above character or something?

Another thing to consider is: Do these events rely on a switch that was moved to activate? if they have the condition of a switch being on and that switch is not actually being turned on, then of course they would not appear.

I doubt it, remember that he copied the map and events over to a new project without the scripts and they worked fine.

That is one thing i did try, to remove the KGC_MapLightening script, but it made no difference

I guess i could do that though i mean with the rest of them

as it turns out, my game is starting with switches 3 and 4 turned on, strange, i found this out by changing the cat girls page two image into something visible, and then checking the f9 window in test play, so i imagine i have a script that is activating those two switches upon game start. I resolved it by adding a switch off step for the two switches in the event page.

this is more or less how the event is supposed to play out (before minor updates and tileset change, but otherwise its the same.)

I also found the culprit so i can ignore my original solution, I just used it as a temporary work around for testing purposes, the problem was in my KGC_LargeParty Script, this little snippet right here.

  PARTYFORM_SWITCH          = 3

  BATTLE_PARTYFORM_SWITCH   = 4
 
  DEFAULT_PARTYFORM_ENABLED = true

either way, I believe it is resolved. Thanks for the help
