I don't think I really plan to buy a microphone within, say, the next month, but I kinda want to start planning.

Anyways, I want a microphone for the purposes of recording both vocal/speaking and my acoustic guitar. I have this webcam that isn't bad in video quality, and its audio quality isn't too bad either for regular speaking, but it completely rapes my audio when I play guitar (as the MP3 attached). That was actually one of my better plays, and some/most/all parts that seem like mess-ups were really just the audio not picking up some notes or just distorting it (minus the ending where I kinda laugh - or something - at myself).

So... yeah... I'm hoping to see if anyone has any suggestions for a microphone. ;-; Oh, and for price range, I'm willing to go up to around $100, I suppose, but not close to $150, and, well, I basically want to cap out at $125 or so.

People talk highly about Blue microphones and like what I hear, especially from the Blue Yeti, but that's $150. If you can't go $150, the $99 Blue Snowball mic sounds pretty good.

Make sure you increase the quality ^

That sounds damn good quality at 360 or not.

And if you get the ringer mic stand if you save up enough money you can wear some black glasses and a white suit and play that new 'rock and roll' music in a studio

Oh, wow. I thought that Blue Yeti microphone looked familiar; my friend has that, ahaha. She got it for $100 on Amazon so maybe I'll do that since the Blue Yeti is under $110 if I buy it from Amazon and the Super Saving Free Shipping thing goes on.

Well, time to save up.... ._.

Moss.

The quality is nice on that snowball, but it does weird things with panning that you'd expect it to do if you put it that close to your guitar. It picks up sounds at 360 degrees, and when you put it that close to one instrument it means you can get sounds coming from one instrument from different directions. It's weird/disorienting.
