I'd like to know what you guys think about the concept artwork below. She's a character I've been working on for my game. I had a few friends critique this drawing for me, and they offered some input. They all came to agreement on certain aspects of this drawing that I was not particularly fond of...so I'm posting this drawing here for your critique so I can determine from your feedback how I can improve my designs.

EDIT: After hearing a few critiques, I've made some changes to this character's design. Please let me know what you think!

But the drawing seems so clean... It's great (well, I don't like that mouth). Although, we may like to know the role this character will play in your game. The girl, at first sight, seems to be a kind of secondary character, or a relevant NPC. Even if she's a main character, she doesn't show what will she do.

But, about the drawing, it's kinda clean, well detailed and the design work is great. Although the breasts seem to be too separated, compared to a natural female figure (she has no operations, hasn't she? ;D)

Haha no, no operations. She is a secondary playable character, this is her casual ensemble, before she gears up and joins your party. Yeah the lips and the eyes are the things my friends pointed out most...I definitely need to work on those lips...Thanks for the feedback!  :)

I always love it when people create their own portraits/NPC Images. It looks great!

(Oh man, is she wearing a pair of Granny Boots? That's awesome.)

I made a few changes to this drawing. I'm still not very pleased with the lips, but they're better than the old version. I'll probably add a slight smile so she doesn't look so serious.

I think everything looks absolutely fantastic except for two things.

1.) The ear needs some detail. It just kind of looks like a blob.
2.) The feet. I like the design of the boots, but it looks like the size and perspective are just slightly off. The feet seem a little too small, and you see a little too much of the boots (height-wise) which make the character appear disproportionately tall. And maybe I've just been starting at it too long, but the perspective of the boots look slightly off.

I figure the best way to get everything if for me to be what some people would consider a jerk...

But before I do, I want to agree with Arlen on both the feet and the ear... They need a bit of work.

The lips are too big and are placed strangely... It seems the shading is a bit off too. Also, her breasts look like they have a cross-chest bandolier between them, sending them to the four corners of her chest. Also, her nose is tiny, which may be what's making the mouth look so big.

(yeah, that was me being a jerk... I think I still came across as semi-pleasant... *smile*)

Anyways... That seems to be the only problems, and while that seems like a lot, I am kinda impressed with how little it actually is... I mean, normally I have to talk about hands or something...

As a final note though, I think that some things don't look right mostly due to thick lines. I mean, for the most part, you have thin lines, but inside the face, there seems to be a lot of thick ones (around the eyes and nose, for example) that just doesn't look right with the rest of the picture...
Ok, DON'T EXPECT HELP FROM ME~! I will perhaps rant a bit, but don't expect me to do graphics for you, even if I say I will... I won't.
