Now, I don't really want to have anyone make it, and I have no idea how I would search for it (the explanation would be hard to type into a search engine, dontcha know?) and, really, I was just curious as to whether or not it existed...
What I was wondering, is if there was some sort of zelda-styled battle system (well, I know there is, but there's more that goes into this) that has a graphic in the bottom corner that displays 4 icons for different types of attacks (that the player can set) on top of a layout of the keys (set to the keys that the player chooses in the controller option of the player, not the equivilant of the key. That is, a z, or a +, not an a, b, x or y).
I can't think of any game that uses it, but something tells me it is something like the system in the old dragonball budokai games (I don't think it's in the new one) where it shows which key is set to ki blast, punch, kick, and guard (at least, I think it shows that) so that you don't have to look back at the instructions or rerun the tutorial to remember how to play, on the fly.
Basically, though, I just want to know if such a system exists/is possible... And, if you recall what it was, a link to find it.
Again, I really wouldn't know what to look up for this, but I know that some game uses it...
Also, as a possible side thought, be able to set the "action keys" in the menu, so they don't have to be a game-button, and it won't reduce functionality.
