When the player is killed during a random encounter, he/she does not receive a 'gameover' screen, they can still walk around ect. How do i fix this and have it so the player receives the game over screen and is sent to the main menu?

Just have a common event that checks if all your players are incapacitated, and then call a gameover if they are.

Im sorry, but rpg maker 2003 cannot do that? or I do not know how...

It should cause a game over unless somewhere in the database you have a custom game over handled somewhere.

Common events are in the database.

I suggest you upgrade to XP or VX, they're more widely supported as they are newer, and nobody really uses rm2003 anymore so your chances of getting specific guides and help are lower than if you had the former.

Thanks for the help, after much searching, i did have a custom handler. Btw, I have both rpg maker XP and VX, however I prefer rpgmaker2003...
