No Character select for items
June 12th, 2010

Summary
A script that overrides the default character selection prompt when you use items, and force them on a specific character.
If a script like this already exists, please link to it!  :)

Features Desired

  • To remove the character selection when using items and force them to be used on a specific character.
  • Optional: A pop-up box centered to the middle of the screen that will display text from the comments of an item. Preferably something like this setup in the comments "text = whatever" and the box displays "whatever"

Did you search?
Yes, rpgmakervx.net.

Would be a huge help if someone were to complete the script before Sunday night.

Are items used on the first character in the party? and what engine xp or vx?

Sorry just noticed it was in the vx script requests xD

You could just set all items to Scope: "User".

If that's too much of a bother, I'm sure someone here could whip something up pretty quickly.

No, that still prompts the character selection, which is what I do not want.
Actually though, I'll dig through the scripts and see if I can have it omit the MP display and level display from the character select, because those are one of the major factors in me wanting to remove it the selection screen.
In general though, it just seems silly to have it ask you which character you want to use it on when there's only one character.
