Using AGS, or Adventure Game Studio, which creates Lucas-Arts era point and click games ala Sam & Max, Indiana Jones, Monkey Island, I plan on creating a new game based on a alcoholic detective investigating a murder of four religious persons. Using paint.NET, I plan on making specifically sketchy and clearly hand done artwork, especially on the maps. While I can do the perfectly scaled and lined pixel art, I prefer to sketch and clean, and I plan to do it all in grayscale, except for the colors red and characters.

Tadaa?

Also the sizes of maps only come in 640x480, and the type I am using which is 320x200.

Color me intrigued!

The design sounds nice, and the sample is good looking. Good luck, man.

Chicago Police Department Detective Donalbane O'Sullivan concept art. The characters will be in black and white to contrast the grayscale backgrounds.

Looks pretty interesting and original. The sketchy artwork gives it a nice feeling. Hope you can turn this into something awesome.
