Annihilation doesn't mean game over...? (RM2k3)

Just reinstalled RM2k3 after several years of not using it. It's working very well so far even though i'm running it on 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate. (I don't think this is the issue.)

Just one problem - when my party is annihilated, no Game Over event happens! The game just goes back to the field as though the battle had been won. Opening the menu reveals that all the characters are dead, and getting into another battle results in the same annihilation message and the same result.

Why on earth could this be happening?

I'm so sorry that I can't really give you a perfect answer, seeing as I have no way of looking at RPGM2k3 at this moment, so I'll being going on what I remember. In the database there is a tab called System, or System2 or something like that. In it is a little check box for "Game over when defeated".

TL;DR- There's a tab in the database. Check "Game Over on loss".

Argh, thanks. I cleared out most of the databases before I started so I must have accidentally set it to "call custom event."

Thanks again!
