Registration is disabled. The site will remain online, but eventually become a read-only archive. More information.

RMRK.net has nothing to do with Blockchains, Cryptocurrency or NFTs. We have been around since the early 2000s, but there is a new group using the RMRK name that deals with those things. We have nothing to do with them.
NFTs are a scam, and if somebody is trying to persuade you to buy or invest in crypto/blockchain/NFT content, please turn them down and save your money. See this video for more information.

Go here to find out how to play the files.

This is interesting, wonder how the quality will compare, gonna test out a few youtube vids in a sec.
I'm much too lazy to put an actual signature here.

Between XVID and x264 in quality. Superior to Apple's h.264 implementation. Roughly equal to x264's baseline profile, but it cannot touch x264 main or high. For that reason, I'll still go with h.264.

I know the patent fiasco and so on, but I don't really care. MPEG-2, MP3 and so on are patented also, it doesn't stop us sharing them.

I think it'll just end up another format available to use. The average user doesn't know or care about the technicalities. Think PNG vs GIF, where GIF is h264 and PNG is WebM. H264 isn't going anywhere.
