Zelda-like map transition

Well, what I would like is a script that transitions between maps, like if I touch event 1, it runs a script that scrolls onto the other map, where I end up at event 2. I'm planning on having my maps all connect at some place or another, just like in LoZ. I hope I'm not being dumb or anything, because I don't know anything about scripts besides how to insert them, and my knowledge there is limited as well. So, if this is even possible, can someone script it for me?

not sure if it can be done but I love those transitions it's so much less jarring than a map change on any other 8 bit (or similar like rpgmaker)games.

It was done in XP, I know that. It would follow it's possible in VX. The way it was done in XP involved scripting, but it was a simple paste-and-go affair. My advice is to find the XP script, then ask someone to convert it.

Never mind I figured it out. I had to turn on the switch (duh, I know) and then have a regular transfer. I was expecting confusing scripting stuff. :/
