Well, I was going to download one of the RPG Maker games, but I had a question to ask before I did. There is no possible way that anyone using RPG Maker and putting their game on the internet could put a virus or anything onto their game, is there? I want to be safe from viruses.....Please be honest with your answer. Thanks.

People could do what they want. Always run a virus check if you're unsure. There is no other answer other than yes. People could have viruses on their games on purpose. However, this doesn't mean that everyone does. It would be unlikely that someone would produce a decent game and spend all their time doing do just to scam like a few interested people.

Again, you should always be routinely running virus software. It's a good habit.

Its always possible for people to include viruses, at least if uploaded to places that don't scan for it automatically (which most places don't). The risk, however, is very minimal because A) most people who want you to download their project will include screenshots and information that will all but prove it to be legitimate, and B) all it takes is one person to test the game and confirm whether it's clean or not.

To point out, we've never had any known problem so far with people sneaking viruses through projects. The most we've had is people trying to make us download questionable games that were downright crappy (see Slash Bulk).

Your thread title is rude. I thought this was something important relating to all the members of the forum and not a simple question.
I'm much too lazy to put an actual signature here.
