Atma, from Atma Weapon in Final Fantasy VI, was a translation error that was overlooked in the original game. Obviously, or perhaps not so obviously, it was supposed to be Ultima Weapon, but it was spelled 'a-te-ma,' which must have confused the translator. Me, I always liked Atma instead of Ultima, it sounds and looks more original and creative. I used it as the name of a boss fight in my game for this reason, and also as a kind of 'nod in your direction' to a favorite game of mine which has given me much musical inspiration over the years.
Oh, and thanks for catching that typo. I'll get on that later today.
