Need help with blizz abs

Hey guys. this isn't a minor issue I don't think, but it's a small thing that bugs the crap outa me.

I use blizz-ABS v2.7 and everything is great and all, but for some reason, whenever I use an item on the character that I'm controlling, it wont display the target animation on him. When I use an item on my other party members, it displays the animation on them. The function of the item works and everything, I just want the animation to play on the controlled character too. Any help would be appreciated =D
