My Windows Computer was manufactured in 1999, and has only been on this earth for 11 years, but it has been brutally taken from me in the prime of it's life. On Monday, April 19th, I was saving a video using Sony Vegas and closed down several nonessential programs to make Vegas run faster. At that time, the taskbar and desktop icons went blank, emulating a prior condition that my PC had experienced.
My PC was admitted to intensive care, but sadly, was never able to save the video. My PC was found in a comatose state on April 20th at 6:27 PM, completely unresponsive.
It became clear early on that the PC's natural defense systems had been compromised, and not even an intensive surgury could bring it out of it's vegetative state. The family pulled the plug at April 21st, 11:43 PM.
My PC was an old fashioned machine, and never wanted to have anything to do with the internet. It was with me for a large portion of my life, and had shared many memories with me, as well as helping me in developing a video game and two movies. However, due to it's tragic death, all of that information has been lost forever, along with the death of this majestic machine.
I will be holding the funeral services on April 30th...
