Hello everyone I'm new to this forum and to RMVX, I've only been using it for around 3 days, and I have a simple question I was hoping someone could help me with.

I recently came accrost this script:

a caterpillar script by Wortana,

could someone please tell me which script file I put this into? I just can't work it out, thanks !

Go into the Script Editor (F11). Go down between Materials and Main and right click an empty slot - choose Insert. Go to the slot you just created and paste the script into it. Name it whatever you want in the lower left field. "Woratana Caterpillar" would be a good name for it, for instance.

Oh I didn't realise it was that simple, but I can't find "Materials"

Well, just anywhere above Main and below the other default scripts. The highlighted line in the attached screenshot.

I put the script in the editor as shown in my attached image but it's still giving me errors:

"Script 'Wortana_Catarpiller' line 141 NameError occurred.

undefined method 'create characters' for class 'Spriteset_map'

have I put it in the right place? And are these errors my fault?

Thanks so much for your help on this Modern Algebra

Oh, you're using RMXP. That script is for RMVX. Just delete it entirely, since most VX scripts, including that one, don't work in RMXP without some manipulation by a scripter. If you want a Caterpillar script for RMXP, try fukuyama and Blizzard's Caterpillar.

Ohh okay, great thanks !

Do you think it's worth upgrading to VX? or is XP just as good?

//Edit: just tried the script you linked me to and it works great, Thanks so much for your help !
