Then just open new tabs to the ones you want to read and then click - Mark All Messages Red.
Not like it's that difficult.

Thats not what we are saying. The recent posts section used to only have 6 topics. We know which topics we have read, but they will still show up in the recent posts

Having less is harder to keep up with. Especially in a hot topic when people are constantly replying. Unless you wrote that meaning something completely different.

5 un-nested links to posts are easier to navigate and look at than 10 or 15 un-nested links to posts. If you want to see a big list of unread posts, that's what view unread posts is for, where they're all properly seperated.
