Mana/Seiken Densetsu Kit?

I've been working with VX and completed my first RPG with it, but now I wanna try my hand at an ARPG. I've seen clips on YouTube of people making Mana-eque games and they're all made with RPGMXP . . .

I know zilch about RPGMXP. And from what I know of RPGMVX, such a game would not be possible on it.

Are there any "starter kits" for all these Seiken Densetsu/Mana games I'm seeing? Like someone's unencrypted project or something?

I'm worried about starting from scratch because I hear the XP version is way less user friendly than the VX version.

I don't know of any starter kits explicitly for Mana, sorry. I've never played any of the Mana games, but if you explain what systems are required, I could probably direct you to a few of them though.

I also wouldn't classify XP as less user-friendly than VX, though mapping is a little harder I suppose.

I hate to sound lazy, but really at this point all I was hoping for was that someone might have made an unencrypted fan game based on Mana since it would take an eternity to track down and customize all the scripts. :( Maybe I need more of a break after having just finished a full length rpg before I begin all of that stuff again. I was just hoping someone would have already done all that work. Haha. :) Oh well.

You probably aren't going to find that here. The forum is kind of dead, and the only real responses you're going to get are "I can't help you" and "try looking at existing scripts." I'd honestly start looking around at other sites and find one with a more active userbase.

...dead how? MA just put out a new script a couple days ago, and people are posting things pretty frequently.

Haha, someone's upset that their own request wasn't fulfilled. Play nice, children.

As for the Manalike games, they're made by individuals who probably put a lot of time and effort into making their own scripts, and are almost certainly not going to give it out for anyone to use freely by making an open project. Your best bet will be to just describe the general systems and gather up the scripts one by one.
