I have a very odd problem and it has me troubled to the extent of sitting in a corner, rocking back and forth while screaming and pulling out my hair. I had a map, in a game that I have devoted VERY much time and love into and I have so very much pride in it. Anyway this map.... deleted. It was just gone... poof .... out of existence. So I rebuilt it, and yet another time POOF gone.

I usually notice this has happened when I go to test play my game, and I step onto a teleport event that sends me to my map. The map that used to be a map is now a map full full of water. Upon going back to the actual editor screen, the name of my map is still there, but the chipset has changed to RTP and is full of water.

Well just tonight, I was working on a very in-depth and complex mine cart puzzle, I went back into my test play and I stepped into that map and I was on water. Fearing that my map was deleted I hurriedly clicked off of test play and noticed that the map was gone. I easily had 2 1/2 - 3 hours into just that map. I would really, really appreciate an answer.

Oh, and one more thing, I have made 2 back-up copies onto a CD, however when I made one today that map was there. So when my map deleted I just thought I'd load my backup copy onto it and be good, however the map was all water on that one as well and it wasn't before. I've ran a Kaspersky scan to try and see if there's some odd virus, but nothing came up strange. I am really frustrated and at wits end so if you would please respond with any suggestions or advice. I also tried going back to a system restore point.... failure.

Hmm, my only guess is that you have your random dungeon generator active. Any time you click on the map with the random generator checked, it resets itself.

Funny how something so useless causes so much trauma. If that isn't your problem... then I guess you could do with a re-installation of both the maker & the RTP (more importantly the RTP; there could be a corrupted file in there somewhere).
