Summary
I need a script that will lock the screen from following the hero, it should be able to turn on and off in a call script command. i think it would be pretty simple to make, hopefully lol. anyway i would really appreciate anyone who tries.

Well, it isn't hard to say why it dosen't exist allready.
Why would you need the "camera" to be fixed and then continue to move the player?

various reasons really, cutscenes, stuff like that. i however, need it for a 2 player rpg game i'm making. it would be very similar to the zelda scroll script, but with more control.

It's human to misdo
The easiest way to make that is through easy eventing. Instead of using the real player, make the real player transparent and use an event wich has the same graphics as the player. That way, you can control the "player" without the "camera" following. The camera is following the real player, wich is transparent.
If you want the camera to change position, just make the transparent real player move with a Move Route command.

yeah it looks like that's what i will have to do. still would be a convenient script though. rpg maker 2003 had it. oh well
