I was wondering if anyone could explain how to do this to me. I was wanting for this scene to occur where you enter the room and an event will take place a little later in this room. When this event is activated, there is a little speech telling dinner is ready. I want the scene to fade out and then fade into another scene where the characters are now around a kitchen table with some food on the table. I was wanting to know how to make this fade out and go to a new scene in the same building happen. I can't seem to figure it out just yet.

The easiest way is too fade in to a black picture and then fade out.
I'm much too lazy to put an actual signature here.

Sonic Dog -> Light Spear -> Overlimit -> Slash
First off, set up events of the people eating around the table (Except the hero, he'll teleport there later), and set their precondition to a switched called "Starting Dinner" or something.

Hide Screen, turn on the "Starting Dinner" switch, teleport to the table, show screen, commence dinner sequence.

Jonesy's way would work too, it's all a matter of preference. Anything to turn the screen black, really.
