Most likely a failed missile test-launch from a Russian sub, the effects were bewildering and beautiful. Video included.

I think Roph linked to this in IRC a couple of days ago, I doubt it's a failed missile test. It wouldn't stay in the air for 12 minutes and Russia denied it.

some people are saying it was probably someone with a powerful projector having fun on a cloudy night.

i agree that it might be a powerful projector. Missiles wouldn't last 12 minutes and spiral perfect like that.
